Jeremiah 10:21

Jeremiah 10:21 For the shepherds are stupid and do not inquire of the LORD; therefore they have not prospered, and all their flock is scattered.

Ouch! We need to think carefully about this verse without pointing any fingers at anyone. What might it be saying to us today? Where is the flock of God in this time and where does it seem to be going? Why might that be? Can or should we take any responsibility for that ourselves? Is there anything we can do to reverse the trend?

Comment -

This is one of those times. Of course in my opinion, God is being extremely sarcastic. As if to say, "Can't you see, do you know what you are doing?" I can see it says God but can you, as if to say today my leaders are blind as bats, they do not know the responsibility of leading the flock, or being a false teacher of the blind leading the blind. This should be a wake-up call to us today that we do not look at just commentaries, although they are helpful but they are only helpful in the sense that they broaden our aspects of what God could be saying. Today he might be saying. Quoting Paul, follow me as I follow the lord. Let him lead you. Our paths should be in agreement with one another, let us reason together says the Lord of hosts. Hallelujah
