Luke 1:55

Luke 1:55 As He spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and his offspring forever.

Our last verse from the text known as the Magnificat. God has spoken - actually, time and time again - to each generation about Himself and His plan of salvation in Jesus. He has spoken to our fathers, whether that is the patriarchs and prophets of the Bible, or the fathers of the church and the reformation. He has spoken many times. Hear how Isaiah articulates that for God:

Isaiah 42:9 Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I now declare; before they spring forth I tell you of them.

As each set of things that God has told man about happens, He tells us yet more things so that when they happen, we will know that they not just random acts of history, but deliberate acts of God. What is God saying to you today?
