Luke 1:76-77 And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Most High; for you will go before the Lord to prepare His ways, to give knowledge of salvation to His people in the forgiveness of their sins
Zechariah is speaking immediately to his own son, John. But can we hear in these words an echo of God's call upon us? Are we heralds for God in our day, preparing the people for Jesus' return? Are we making a credible demonstration of salvation and explaining forgiveness for sin? Can we even explain what sin is in a way that people can understand without just brushing off as irrelevant to them?
