Jeremiah 31:37

Jeremiah 31:37 Thus says the LORD: "If the heavens above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth below can be explored, then I will cast off all the offspring of Israel for all that they have done, declares the LORD."

And here's the definitive statement, just in case we hadn't grasped it already. If the heavens can be measured and the depths of the sea can be explored, only then will God break His promise to preserve Israel.

Think about that and now consider the fanaticism with which space exploration is being pursued in these days. Might there be some driving force behind all that frantic activity? Might there be someone or something with an agenda that is propelling the amazing feats of underwater discovery?

Ask yourself just why it is so important that man should be able to see all the stars and measure the distances between all the planets, black holes and other heavenly bodies in this and the other galaxies? Why are scientists obsessed with measuring the size of the universe now, its rate of growth and other physical criteria? Of what possible benefit can that be to mankind?

Those who hate Israel are working to be able to call God on his promise, to force him to have to cast Israel off from its special relationship with Him and, ultimately, to wrest control of this world from Him. That's a sobering thought!
