Luke 7:6 When He was not far from the house, the centurion sent friends, saying to Him, "Lord, do not trouble Yourself, for I am not worthy to have You come under my roof.
The words of the centurion who had asked for Jesus' healing for his servant who was dying. He starts to recognise the enormity of what he has asked. He, a Gentile occupier of Israel, a symbol of unwelcome foreign authority in Israel, has asked Jesus to come to his house. Surely it is unneessary. He recognises his own position and humbles himself before Jesus.
Do we recognise our positions and humble ourselves before Jesus?
