Luke 7:22

Luke 7:22 And Jesus answered the disciples of John, "Go and tell John what you have seen and heard: the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, the poor have good news preached to them.

The proof of the pudding, the answer to John's question - "Are you the One, or should we wait for someone else?" - was in the eating. "Just look around you," Jesus told John's followers who had been sent to ask, "and report what you see." The kingdom of God was being revealed every day in the miracles and teaching tht Jesus was doing. Believe the evidence you see with your own eyes and tell John.

We seem hampered in these days because miracles - at least in the sophisticated West - are rather thin on the ground and the proclamation of good news to the poor is decidedly muted. We need to cry out to the Lord of the Harvest, not only to send workers, but to send miracles and preachers!

That said, we all have the personal testimony of our lives, of what God has done for us in Jesus. We all have something that we can report.
