Isaiah 5:7 For the vineyard of the LORD of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah are His pleasant planting; and He looked for justice, but behold, bloodshed; for righteousness, but behold, an outcry!
Now the story is explained. Israel and Judah are the vineyard and the vines that the Lord has planted; the looked for grapes are justice and righteousness, the wild crop is bloodshed and an outcry.
Today, when our God has also called those from the Gentile nations to join the commonwealth of Israel in Messiah Jesus, how might those symbols be explained? Can you see them being worked out in your fellowship, in your congregation or church? What is the Lord seeing from His people?
