Isaiah 8:14

Isaiah 8:14 And He will become a sanctuary and a stone of offense and a rock of stumbling to both houses of Israel, a trap and a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

Am I reading this correctly? God will become a stone of offence and a rock of stumbling to His own people? Yes, that's what the text says. It also says (first) that He will become a sanctuary. To those who truly trust in Him and live lives that prove it, He will be a sanctuary and a refuge, a rock not of stumbling but of safety and security. To those who do't follow Him or only pay lip-service to His covenant, he will bmake them stumble over their own words and actions, snaring all the leaders of Jerusalem who don't follow Him.

Which camp are you in?
