Exodus 30:14-15

Exodus 30:14-15 Everyone who is numbered in the census, from twenty years old and upward, shall give the LORD's offering. The rich shall not give more, and the poor shall not give less, than the half shekel, when you give the LORD's offering to make atonement for your lives.

Think carefully. What does this tell us? It tells us that every life is precious to God and that no life is worth more or less than any other. God loves all His people and as the Scriptures say:

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.

The Lord holds out His hand to each one of us on exactly the same terms. Everyone is welcome to repent and know Him. Rich or poor, educated or ignorant, healthy or sick - we are all precious to Him!
