Isaiah 19:1

Isaiah 19:1 An oracle concerning Egypt. Behold, the LORD is riding on a swift cloud and comes to Egypt; and the idols of Egypt will tremble at His presence, and the heart of the Egyptians will melt within them.

Unusually, since I don't change texts and try hard not to take them out of context, I'd like to invite you to re-read that verse, substituting "this world" for "Egypt". I think that is where we now are and I think it explains the behaviour of world leaders, nations and individuals in these strange days. Everyone feels the tension in the air; everyone knows that something is about to happen and people and nations are exhibiting signs of panic and distress.

We should not be subject to either panic or distress, for we know why the Lord is coming and what the end of the story will be. Let us be strengthened and encouraged in these days!

I must agree with you concerning the atmosphere of the world in general. I would venture a little further and say that I strongly believe we are seeing the 'ushering in' of the events as recorded in Revelation 13.
