Luke 14:35b He who has ears to hear, let him hear. These words of Jesus echo those He will later use seven times in the book of Revelation: "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches" (Revelation 2:7, for example). The warning of the times may be given, but who is listening? Who will hear? Those whose hearts have been prepared and opened by the Holy Spirit, heaven only knows exactly how. They will hear and recognise the truth of the warning and the remedy: return to God and accept His invitation to become a part of His kingdom. There is no other way: only the citizens of the kingdom will endure the judgement that is to come.

And, how will they hear if the messenger sleeps? The fields are white unto harvest, but the laborers are few.
