Luke 16:1

Luke 16:1 Jesus also said to the disciples, "There was a rich man who had a manager, and charges were brought to him that this man was wasting his possessions.

No, impossible! Jesus couldn't be suggesting that there are believers, members of the kingdom of God, who waste or misappropriate the assets of the kingdom? Heaven forfend that should be you or I. I mean, someone who had been given status and authority within the body of Messiah - someone who was trusted as a leader???

We cannot be blinded from reality. These things do happen. People do go off the rails or make mistakes. We are all human. Why not take a few moments today to conduct a quick spiritual inventory and make sure that you are doing the right thing with the resources, gifts, people (if appropriate) that have been entrusted to you. Ask youself the question: who am I really serving here? How do my choices build up others and the kingdom? Am I being a good steward of what I have been given?
