Isaiah 27:2-3 In that day, "A pleasant vineyard, sing of it! I, the LORD, am its keeper; every moment I water it. Lest anyone punish it, I keep it night and day.
One of the things that believers are regularly teased about is the hope we have in heaven. Whether you aspire to a nice cloud-positioned harp, a world-class golf course that changes every day with no green fees, or endless beaches with perfect sunsets, heaven won't be like that. But whether we get ribbed or not doesn't - or shouldn't - diminish the reality of heaven.
Here is one description the Scriptures do provide for us. Like many others, it is an allegory or a metaphor. Heaven isn't a vineyard, but it will have some characteristics of a pleasant and fruitful vineyard. And the Lord has prepared a place for each of us who follow Him in His vineyard and is keeping both that place and the vineyard safe and ready for all his children to enjoy with Him forever.
