Isaiah 29:15-16 Ah, you who hide deep from the LORD your counsel, whose deeds are in the dark, and who say, "Who sees us? Who knows us?" You turn things upside down! Shall the potter be regarded as the clay, that the thing made should say of its maker, "He did not make me"; or the thing formed say of him who formed it, "He has no understanding"?
Who hides from God? Those who don't want to be seen, who want to conceal their activities. Do you know anyone like that?
Hiding from God never did any good. As the Psalmist said:
Psalm 139:8-12 If I ascend to heaven, You are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, You are there! If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there Your hand shall lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me. If I say, "Surely the darkness shall cover me, and the light about me be night," even the darkness is not dark to You; the night is bright as the day, for darkness is as light with You.
We cannot make God into a creature of our own creation and then turn Him on and off to please ourselves. He created us; He knows exactly all about us, our environment and our world. He is the Lord!
