Isaiah 30:19

Isaiah 30:19 For a people shall dwell in Zion, in Jerusalem; you shall weep no more. He will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry. As soon as He hears it, He answers you.

This verse follows directly on from the last one: not only is God waiting to be gracious to us, but He will respond to us as soon as we cry out to Him. Now, I know that begs the question that the writer to the Hebrews points out:

Hebrews 11:6 Without faith it is impossible to please God, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him.

You may say, "But I don't believer in God, so how can I cry out to Him? It would just be a sham." Well, it might be, or at least you may think think it was. But no-one who calls out will be disappointed, even if they aren't really sure who they are calling, what to say or what might happen. That's up to God - and He will respond immediately, in the way that will communicate with you best.

Are you in a hole, afraid, uncertain, troubled by the world around us? Don't wast any more time prevaricating. Get on with it and make some attempt to cry out to God right now and see what happens!

Yes, just as the "woman at the well" cried out for the Water of Life, as the blind man cried out for sight and as the thief dieting on a cross beside Messiah Yeshua cried out ... those who seek Him will surely find Him.
