Isaiah 53:6

Isaiah 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned--every one--to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

And you know what, Isaiah continues, this applies to every single one of us. There isn't, as the Bible says in several places, so much as one person - any where or at any time - who hasn't sinned. We have all turned away from God and committed sin, sometimes accidentally, often quite deliberately. Calling it "my right", "my choice" or "autonomy" doesn't make any difference to what it is: it is human disobedience against God's laws, doing our own thing our own way. And, there will be hell to pay!

But, Jesus. God has given everyone who turns to Him a second chance. All our iniquity - our refusal to hear and obey God's judgements and statutes - have been laid on Jesus and settled at the cross.

Have you signed up and accepted His offer? Or would you rather settle your own account?
