Mark 15:15 So Pilate, wishing to satisfy the crowd, released for them Barabbas, and having scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified. How often do we do the wrong thing because we want to satisfy the crowd? In our case, the crowd may be only a few people, but the principle remains the same. Pilate ordered Jesus' death "to satisfy the crowd", sacrificing a man's life for popularity - or at least to avoid a fuss. How far will we go for peace and an easy life?

Funnily enough my prayer partner and I were just talking about this earlier this morning. How easy it is to just let a little thing slip so as not to upset someone, then the next time it's something a little less minor and on the downward spiral goes. We were talking in the context of declaring Jesus as a good man, maybe even as Saviour [as if such a thing were needed!!] but not as Sovereign Lord. As the saying goes 'if He is not Lord of all he's not lord at all.' Bless you for your daily task, I look forward to them.
