Luke 18:39

Luke 18:39 And those who were in front rebuked him, telling him to be silent. But he cried out all the more, "Son of David, have mercy on me!"

As soon as he starts making a racket, the crowd try to shush him. Quit that bellyaching, you're making a fuss and you'll spoil it for us. We want to hear what Jesus is saying, so be quiet. Besides, He won't want to talk to you. Will you cut it out!

The beggar was having none of it. He was going to talk to Jesus no matter what they thought or did. He had got it into his head that Jesus was his only hope. So he carried on shouting. In fact, he made even more noise than before.

Do you know that Jesus is your only hope? Are you going to let Him go just because someone else wants you to be quiet, because you are spoiling their day, getting in their way? You may need to shout a bit louder!

The only disagreement I might have with this would be the phrase, "in his head." I believe it was more likely "in his heart". Just a thought.
