Isaiah 40:21 Do you not know? Do you not hear? Has it not been told you from the beginning? Have you not understood from the foundations of the earth? I like the way these verbs are cast in the present tense. Isaiah, speaking for the Lord, was not just speaking in his time, but for all time, because that 'present' tense is still 'now' for us. Not only were Isaiah's audience being asked whether they are not knowing and hearing the evidence for God from what He has done right there and then in their very day, but we too in our day are surrounded by the same evidence of what God has done and is still doing. Hear the voice of the Spirit asking you the same question now, today, in real time. Do you not know? Have you not heard?

Revelation 3:3 KJV Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
