Isaiah 66:9 Shall I bring to the point of birth and not cause to bring forth?" says the LORD; "shall I, who cause to bring forth, shut the womb?" says your God.
Make sure you understand what God is saying here. He will bring everything to its designed and natural conclusion. Nothing will be left hanging in the air, unfinished or half done. If the Lord starts a work, He will finish it; He has a purpose for it and it will achieve that purpose. The Psalmist cries out ...
Psalm 138:8 The LORD will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O LORD, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands.
... but he need not fear. God will not neglect His work in any man. As Paul writes to the Thessalonians:
1 Thessalonians 5:24 He who calls you is faithful; He will surely do it.
Our calling in Jesus is secure because God Himself has promised to fulfill His purposes in our lives. Paul amplifies that to the Philippians:
Philippians 1:6 And I am sure of this, that He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.
Sometimes, we may have to wait a while to see it, but it will always come out in the end.
