John 6:27

John 6:27 Do not labor for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For on Him God the Father has set his seal.

What are you working for in life? Money, fame, comfort, riches? Lots of people are but, do you know what?, you can't take them with you! Inflation, age, con-men (and con-women), will all strip it away from you as sure as eggs are eggs.

Stop wasting your time, Jesus says, on things that are ephemeral - just five minutes fame - and worthless and focus on the things that really matter. Here the echo of the words used at the start of the Passover Seder each year:

Isaiah 55:1-3 Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your labor for that which does not satisfy? Listen diligently to me, and eat what is good, and delight yourselves in rich food. Incline your ear, and come to me; hear, that your soul may live; and I will make with you an everlasting covenant, my steadfast, sure love for David.

God's offer is open and free to all. All you have to do is ask. Oh, and stop messing about with all that rubbish!
