John 7:50-51 Nicodemus, who had gone to Him before, and who was one of the Council, said to them, "Does our law judge a man without first giving him a hearing and learning what he does?"
Nicodemus' request is quite simple: due process. "Are we doing the right thing in the right way?" he asks. Are we following due process or have we already pre-judged the issue? How often do we take a quicky of scanty look at some issue or the other and reach a snap decision without really understanding what is really going on? Or perhaps we have an agenda that prevents us from taking the claims of a situation seriously? Might you be reacting that way to some people or some causes today?
